A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Financial Controller, specifically with a background in the hotel industry and proficiency in utilising various integrated systems within a hotel environment.

You will support the Finance Controller and be an integral part of a fun and collaborative team by overseeing day-to-day financial operations.  This role extends beyond being a mere job.  It’s an opportunity to showcase your analytical skills by pinpointing opportunities and identify areas for improvement in existing controls and procedures that will directly influence growth to the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the sales ledger/credit control function and outstanding debtors
• Meeting of weekly and monthly financial deadlines and submitting accurate reports
• Processing payroll and conduct rigorous reviews of departmental variances to forecast and budget analysis
• Manage and report on food & beverage margins and conduct F&B cost analysis
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including Profit and Loss Statements and Balance Sheets
• Support the financial controller in preparing and updating EBITDA and cash flow forecasts.
• Oversee on-site cash management, float reconciliation, petty cash and personal expenses processing

What do you need to qualify for this role?

• To be able to produce monthly reports, budgetary and P&L
• Experience in the hotel industry
• High level of experience using Sage and Excel including Pivot tables, VLOOKUP and INDEXMATCH
• A positive proactive attitude with the ability to prioritise in a fast paced environment
• ACCA or CIMA qualified (or working towards these qualifications)

Salary is depending on experience.  In order to attain the highest salary bracket for this role, you will need to have/demonstrate all the skills and experience mentioned above in order to achieve the highest rate of pay.
