As an Equipment Sales Engineer, your role will involve assessing customer cooling and heating requirements through site surveys, providing expert consultations, and delivering tailored solutions. Your ability to understand and address customer needs to guarantee satisfaction and foster repeat business will be fundamental.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with existing customers, serving as their go-to advisor, maintaining consistent communication to meet their ongoing needs
  • Provide expert after-sales support, including troubleshooting and maintenance advice
  • Develop and nurture new customer relationships to unlock service, sales, and associated opportunities
  • Take ownership of your sales budget and creating a strategic business plan for your region, setting and achieving ambitious goals and targets
  • Adherence to Risk Assessment Method Statements and Quality Health and Safety Environments


  • A deep understanding of Industrial Process Cooling and heating equipment, including chillers, heat pumps, air blast chillers, adiabatic coolers etc
  • Proven experience in sales and customer relationship management, ideally in the HVAC or refrigeration industry, is essential
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to understand customer needs and propose effective solutions, are critical
  • Self-motivated with a strong history of meeting or exceeding sales targets and possess excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • A degree or practical experience in engineering or a related field, though this is a plus rather than a necessity
  • Established network connections in the East Midlands region would be an extreme advantage
  • IT literate and competent in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
