Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Field Service Engineer to enrich their dynamic team.  As Field Service Engineer, you will be pivotal in delivering technical support, conducting maintenance and repairs, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical system issues across expansive commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for executing on-site equipment installations and performing diagnostic evaluations on electrical and mechanical components.

Following completion of works to engage with clients to ensure their expectations are met, identifying potential future business opportunities, and providing comprehensive technical reports outlining completed work and any further actions required.

Essential Experience

  • Minimum of five years’ hands-on experience of installation and maintenance of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems
  • Possession of C&G F-Gas 2079 and Safe Handling of Ammonia certifications
  • Proficiency with relevant EC directives such as pressure equipment, machinery safety, ATEX, low voltage, and EMC directives
  • Expertise in servicing piston, screw, and centrifugal compressors
  • Familiarity with HCFC, HFC, and NH3 refrigerants (experience with HC refrigerants and CO2 is advantageous)
  • Working knowledge and experience with electrical safety regulations pertaining to control and power circuits at 110v and 415v
  • Possession of C&G F-Gas 2079 and Safe Handling of Ammonia certifications
  • Demonstrated strong planning and organisation skills, adept at meeting stringent deadlines
  • Exceptional written and customer service skills
