Calling out to Sales professionals with an excellent track record within the events and hospitality sector selling large event spaces looking for a new challenge with one of the leading companies offering corporate meetings and events services.

We are recruiting for Head of Business Development to join an outstanding employer based in the Bedford area. The company is committed to delivering an exemplary service and combine this with the use of digital communications. Having the knowhow to manage, execute and deliver all three event models: in person, virtual and hybrid meetings and events and this capability enables clients to effectively push their events into the future.

The role will be based in their offices 1 – 2 days a week and the remainder will be out and about  visiting clients across the UK. The Head of Business Development will be responsible for proactively driving revenue and growth from new clients in both the corporate and association market. You will also maintain revenue from existing clients whilst developing the team to support revenue generation and meeting activity targets and KPIs.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• Significant experience in meetings and events sales selling venue spaces (from large spaces in hotels, venues, conferences centres or agency)
• Impressive track record/ proactive new business development and account management
• Demonstrable record in managing agency and corporate development and business growth
• Confident and skilled in proactively prospecting for business
• History of winning business from competitors
• Network of Corporate/Association meetings and events customers
• Engaging presentation, written and verbal communication skills
• Clean UK Driving licence
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and targets
