Our client is actively seeking a highly motivated and skilled Commercial Projects Engineer with a mechanical background, or expertise in HVAC and Process Cooling, to step into a crucial role overseeing and executing projects from start to finish.
Showcasing your robust business development skills, you will cultivate and sustain strong relationships with sales, customers, and subcontractors, serving as a reliable point of contact, while also offering guidance based on your project management experience to develop and effectively implement products and service solutions meeting customer demands to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in project reviews to finalise designs of new orders and attending project handovers with customers to confirm scope and timeline requirements
- Develop detailed project plans and troubleshoot technical engineering issues
- Exercise financial control, including budgeting and cost management
- Oversee procurement and coordination of equipment and subcontracted work
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain flexibility and adaptability in high-volume, fast-paced project environments while ensuring continuous customer communication
- Attend site visits to provide guidance and cost estimates for installation projects
- Ensure compliance with contract agreements and maintain health and safety standards
Key Requirements:
- Intermediate-level experience in commercial Project Management with ideally a background in Engineering
- Knowledge of manufacturing industry advantageous
- Able to use Microsoft Office Suite and Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
- Knowledge of Microsoft planner or power automate and SAP advantageous
- Willingness to travel nationally and an able to travel internationally when required
- UK drivers’ licence
