Are you an experienced Buyer living in the Dorset or Hampshire area with knowledge of managing and developing specific product ranges to meet an ever changing customer demand? Do you have the ability to strategically manage products in the fast moving consumer goods market with a shelf life to be considered whilst maximizing customer sales?

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an award winning business to join the experienced Buying team in a senior level role as a Buyer with responsibility of a multi million pound perishable retail department.

You will be able to support and contribute to the budgeted sales and margins and conduct annual range reviews. As Buyer you will visit trade shows both in the UK and internationally and ensure that ranges are innovative and exciting for your customers whilst conducting negotiations with suppliers to maximise gross margins.

As Buyer you will need to Prepare for, and participate in, the Traders Meetings and ensure that the agreed merchandise concept and strategy is followed and where appropriate produce merchandise stock layouts

You will need to evidence a strong level of numeracy, be IT literate and be analytical to read your data and make strong business conclusions form the findings as well as strategically and Regularly monitor and highlight position of old and or slow moving stocks with proposals on how to resolve cost effectively.
