Field Service Engineer

Are you a Field Service Engineer with a HNC level or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and experience of using industrial automation equipment such as Simatic Classic or TIA?   Do you have a passion for finding solutions, bringing efficiency and innovation.

Our client, a continuously growing global organisation, has a fantastic permanent opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to deliver a flexible service to their clients.  It is essential that you have exceptional fault finding skills specifically in electro-mechanical devices and can carry out maintenance, commissioning and installing along with providing technical support for the range of AC and DC drive applications.

You must be a self-motivated, organised individual and able to work under your own initiative with minimal supervision. You will need to understand the needs of the customer and have commercial awareness to recognise, promote and pursue new opportunities whilst providing the highest levels of customer service.

You will be provided with 2 weeks training to learn their comprehensive portfolio of integrated hardware, software and technology-based services and then subsequent training every 6 months.

This position is remote, but you will location access to M1/M6/M4/M5/M60.  They work a flexible 36.5 hour week, paying overtime for any additional travelling outside of their core standard hours of 08:30 – 16:30 along with a competitive salary and annual company performance bonus plus company car.

Essential Key Competencies:

• Experience of using industrial automation equipment such as Simatic Classic or TIA
• Provide technical support for the range of AC and DC drive applications
• The ability to work at heights
• Excellent IT skills – Windows OS, MS Office
• Demonstrate experience in a similar or appropriate role along with basic programming & PLC knowledge, experience in fault finding, commissioning and maintenance of industrial automation equipment.
