Field Service Engineer – Machine Tools

Are you a Field Service Engineer with experience of providing machine tool technical support?  Do you have a passion for finding solutions, bringing efficiency and innovation.

Our client, a continuously growing global organisation, has a fantastic permanent opportunity for a Field Service Engineer specifically in fault finding, commissioning, and maintenance and installation of Machine Tools and to providing technical support to their customers.

You must be a self-motivated, organised individual and able to work under your own initiative with minimal supervision, continuously seeking to add value to the services provided and achieving first-time fixes, leading to reduced breakdown times, lower costs for customers.  You will need to understand the needs of the customer and have commercial awareness to recognise, promote and pursue new opportunities whilst providing the highest levels of customer service to develop loyalty and trust.

You will be provided with 2 weeks training to learn their comprehensive portfolio of integrated hardware, software and technology-based services and then subsequent training every 6 months.

This position is remote, but you will location access to M1/M6/M4/M5/M60.  They work a flexible 36.5 hour week, paying overtime for any additional travelling outside of their core standard hours of 08:30 – 16:30 along with a competitive salary and annual company performance bonus plus company car or van.

Essential Key Competencies:

• Need minimum of 2 years’ experience with a 4 year apprenticeship
• Excellent IT skills – Windows OS, MS Office
• Demonstrate experience in a similar or appropriate role along experience in fault finding, commissioning and maintenance of technical tools

Salary is depending on experience.  In order to attain the highest salary bracket for this role, you will need to have/demonstrate all the skills and experience mentioned above in order to achieve the highest rate of pay.
