As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be instrumental in optimising production processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and refine manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment. Your technical skills and problem-solving abilities will be key to drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that manufacturing operations consistently meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in cost reduction and introduce new processes and tooling
- Train and guide operators on production techniques
- Act as a liaison between manufacturing and other business functions
- Prepare estimates and manage job-related costs
- Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Lead Root Cause Analysis
- Actively contribute to Health and Safety initiatives
- Identify and implement innovative manufacturing techniques
- Plan and optimise workflow, space, and equipment and oversee equipment maintenance and repairs
- Advise on Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
What they’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally with an assembly background
- HNC/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience is desirable
- Familiarity with modern manufacturing practices and processes
- Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience in system assembly manufacturing
- Proficiency in CAD SolidWorks
