Job Description
Are you an experienced Senior Drainage Engineer and looking for an exciting fresh challenge? Do you have a hands on approach and have exceptional draining engineering knowledge and skills to design and manage drainage infrastructure projects?
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join an award-winning civil engineering company based in the Stockport area, they have recently been given commissions to work on a number of high profile multi-million housing development sites.
A high-level technical service and working knowledge of all aspects of drainage including SUDS manual and Lead Local Flood Authority requirements along with current design standards and codes is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertaking project management for site
- Preparation, designs, drawings, and calculations
- Preparation of contract documents and specifications
- Financial and commercial management
- Liaising with clients and supervision of contractors
- Providing support, training, and guidance to other staff
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of working in a busy drainage design office is essential, typically with at least 5 years’ practical design experience
- Experience of working in a civil/structural design office is desirable but not essential
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic and capable of operating with limited supervision
