Boom first week almost done!
The first week in a new role is always a bit of a mind boggle… exciting but exhausting. This week has been no different- however it has been incredibly fun with lots of laughter. The passion and drive that Karen and Helen have is infectious! Having to work through an induction after 8 years is new to me! Having to do it over Zoom is even more strange, but we roll with the times and it was a cracker.
I was thinking about Recruitment and how everyone says that they do it differently, they think ‘outside of the box’, they are ‘dynamic’ etc.
Well, I think of how I recruit… and it really is very simple- I know my clients, we have a laugh, chat about what we had for tea etc, and I know exactly what they look for when they recruit. I know my candidates, what they are looking for and their skills and then I introduce client to candidate and candidate to client.
Recruiting is really simply about building honest solid and trustworthy relationships. I guess that’s why I love recruitment- everyone knows I love to chat and there is nothing more satisfying than introducing two people who you know are going to suit one another and work well together whilst building their own relationship.
